Solo travel has a unique charm, but a solo bike ride to Spiti Valley is something that truly tests your spirit of adventure. My journey began in Delhi early in the morning with a heart full of excitement and a bike ready to conquer the mountains.
The first stop was Shimla, a beautiful hill station that serves as the gateway to the Spiti circuit. As the roads started climbing higher, the air became cooler and the scenery more dramatic. Snow-covered peaks and winding mountain roads created a feeling that no city experience could ever match.
After crossing Narkanda and reaching Kalpa, the view of the Kinnaur Kailash range was breathtaking. Riding through narrow cliffside roads required focus, but the stunning landscapes made every kilometer worthwhile.
One of the most challenging parts of the journey was the stretch from Nako to Tabo. The roads were rough, dusty, and isolated, but that’s exactly what made the adventure real. I stopped at small villages, interacted with locals, and experienced the simple mountain lifestyle.
Finally reaching Kaza felt like a victory. Surrounded by majestic mountains and ancient monasteries, I realized that the journey itself was the biggest reward.
If you are someone who loves adventure, exploring Spiti on a bike is one of the most unforgettable travel experiences you can have.
