The Ride That Changed Everything
For years, Ladakh was on our bucket list. Finally, five of us decided to take the Manali route — known for its raw terrain and unpredictable weather.
We rented Royal Enfield bikes, packed fuel cans, thermal wear, medical kits, and started the ride from Manali at sunrise.
The air was thin. The mountains were silent. The adventure had begun.
Day 1: Manali to Jispa
Crossed Rohtang Pass
Sudden snowfall
Slippery turns
The temperature dropped below 5°C at night.
First lesson: Ladakh doesn’t forgive mistakes.
Day 2: Jispa to Leh
Baralacha La
Nakee La
Lachulung La
More Plains (incredible ride)
We faced water crossings and loose gravel. One bike stalled mid-stream — teamwork saved the day.
Khardung La – The Ultimate Test
Standing at 18,380 ft felt unreal.
Breathing was difficult. Oxygen was low. But the sense of achievement was indescribable.
Night at Pangong Lake
Freezing winds.
Stars like never before.
Silence that speaks.
This wasn’t just travel. It was survival and freedom combined.
